Saviola Group's Mood finish on Ecological Panel® has been honored by the German Design Award in the Material and Surfaces category as Excellent product design. For the second year in a row, Saviola wins the German Design Award, an important prize given through the careful evaluation by an international jury that monitors and rewards the most significant design trends of the year in all industries.

Combination of art and sustainable use of materials

Born from the creativity of the Saviola Research & Development Center, Mood on Ecological Panel® is able to combine, with a strongly contemporary approach, aesthetics, high quality and design.

Inspired by the art of Mondrian, Mood is a texture characterized by parallel and perpendicular stripes that create an interplay of shapes and different effects of opacity and shine. Made with a digital print using synchronized technology, Mood highlights every detail when applied over a solid color, perfectly matching the underlying design.

As stated in the German Design Award jury's motivations, “The harmonious combination of opacity and gloss and the use of 100 percent reclaimed wood create an aesthetically pleasing and ecologically responsible surface. Mood is a successful example of the combination of art and sustainable use of materials.”
