Four months on, the organisers confirm that interzum 2021, the world trade fair for furniture components, will be held in Cologne from 4 to 7 May. This is in response to the need to reconcile the great desire for trade fairs expressed by the sector of semi-finished products and supplies for the furniture industry with the global health emergency.
Interzum 2021: different options for participation
Koelnmesse is currently presenting the new proposal for interzum 2021 to exhibitors from all over the world: the “hybrid“ trade fair concept has been confirmed, with extremely flexible participation options to allow the choice between being physically present in Cologne or “digitally“ present. The project has been further perfected: in fact, in addition to being at the fair with your own stand and on the digital platform interzum@home, available free of charge for those who will be in Cologne, from today you can also choose to exhibit only “digitally“ for those who prefer not to be present at the exhibition centre with their own stand.
And that's not all: what's new these days is the third option that Koelnmesse has planned: exhibiting in Cologne in the new “interzum@home hall“, a pre-furnished area where it will be possible to present oneself in stands of different sizes, from 30 to 120 square metres. This means you can be at the trade fair and also have Koelnmesse's digital platform at your disposal, while keeping your investment costs down considerably. This new project will make it easier for all companies to plan their participation in the exhibition in an “agile“ way and take advantage of the great opportunities that interzum has always offered.
A great effort for a safe, effective, new and innovative exhibition
“It is certainly not easy to face the challenge of organising a trade fair next May, despite the climate of uncertainty and concern,“ said Thomas Rosolia, Managing Director of Koelnmesse Italia, commenting on the new opportunities offered to exhibitors. “One thing is certain,“ he added: “The furniture world wants a moment of encounter that allows it to focus on what is new, what is functional, what is beautiful that will characterise the furnishings of the near future. We cannot read the crystal ball, we cannot be certain of what awaits us, but we can and must use our expertise and experience to try to design a show that is safe, effective, and above all new and innovative“.
