With just a few months to go before the start of interzum 2021, the world's leading trade fair for furniture components, which, as we have already explained, will be held this year in a hybrid form in various ways, many companies in the sector are declaring that their participation in the event will be digital. Let us look at some of them.
Blum's digital participation at interzum 2021
Austrian furniture fittings and accessories manufacturer Blum has confirmed that it will participate in the next interzum trade fair from 4 to 7 May in Cologne exclusively in digital form. In a press release, the company has ensured its presence at interzum even though its new products in the area of accessories and intelligent furniture solutions will only be offered in digital format. Thanks to the solution offered by the interzum organisers, Blum will be able to create contact opportunities with customers and partners directly at its international locations.
The Managing Director of Blum Germany, André Dorner, explained that, given the current situation, he decided to participate in this way. “We are happy that the Kölnmesse offers the possibility to present ourselves digitally. In this way we protect the health of our customers and employees and also react to the limited travel options.“
Blum will be showing all its innovations through various interactive formats. “For us, face-to-face contact is crucial. That is why we will complement the digital offer with personal dialogue and the physical experience of our innovations directly on site“ - Philipp Blum, manager of the Blum Group, emphasised. “Our intention is to inspire customers with our participation, even at this unusual time. However, we are looking forward to interzum 2023 in Cologne because we are convinced that direct contact at the stand is irreplaceable.“
Häfele Discoveries to find out what's new online
In this time of pandemic, Häfele SE & Co KG is presenting itself with a hybrid exhibition format under the name “Häfele Discoveries“, which will also be an integral part of interzum@home organised online by Koelnmesse. For the first time since 1959, Häfele will not have a stand at the interzum trade fair in Cologne.
“Thanks to the constructive and ongoing exchange between Koelnmesse and the exhibitors, it will be possible to show the industry what's new in 2021, even in times of pandemic. In the current situation, this is far from a foregone conclusion and testifies to an exceptional atmosphere of cooperation,“ explained Sibylle Thierer, CEO of Häfele.
Even after the digital event from 4 to 7 May 2021, it will be possible to discover Häfele's innovations virtually on the website and view the presentations recorded live at the event or get in touch with the local contact person via video chat. The digital platform is complemented by a series of global events, during which Häfele's product innovations and service offerings will be physically accessible and tangible. In fact, product and service experts will present Häfele's flagship products for 2021 live at the numerous subsidiaries and sales offices around the world. For 2023, the year in which Häfele will celebrate its 100th anniversary, the company is already announcing its return as an exhibitor at the interzum trade fair in Cologne, aware that the digital world, however professional and innovative, can never replace the added value of a personal meeting between customers and exhibitors.
Vauth-Sagel: fully digital presence at Interzum 2021
After Häfele, Vauth-Sagel, the specialist in solutions for optimising interior spaces in the kitchen, has decided to participate in interzum 2021 with a fully digital presence. This will allow the company's new products and the main features of its innovative kitchen solutions to be presented on its digital platform and on interzum@home, which will be held online in parallel with the fair.
“I consider this an excellent alternative in times of pandemic,“ says Vauth-Sagel CEO Claus Sagel. “Those who know us know that we have always placed particular value on personal exchange with our customers. One of the biggest challenges will certainly be to transfer this exchange to the digital space. In the current difficult situation, we have taken several factors into account. On the one hand, we want to connect with our customers and interzum has always been a great opportunity, however, the health and safety of our staff, customers and partners is now our priority. It is also important for us to support the organisers of the fair so that we can meet again in person at interzum 2023“.
