SCM has decided not to participate in the next edition of Holz-Handwerk, the fair in Nuremberg, already postponed to the new dates 16-19 June 2020, due to the protracted health emergency COVID-19 that is hitting European countries and the rest of the world more and more critically.
To date, moreover, the continuous evolution of the epidemic makes it impossible to predict when the world socio-economic scenario will be able to stabilize again, in Europe as in the rest of the world, thus ensuring the smooth running of the activities of all the protagonists of the wood industry.
In order to continue to be at the side of customers even from afar, in this period of emergency, SCM further enhances smart technologies and digital services, offering its support to woodworking machinery companies, from large industry to craftsmen, from furniture to windows and doors to carpentry.
Latest generation digital technologies and services
Technological innovation, digital factory and all-round customer support services: these are SCM's primary objectives to continue to be at the side of all professionals in the sector thanks to its Smart&Human Factory: smart technologies and latest-generation digital services are further enhanced in such a delicate period as the one we are going through.
Practical demonstrations, training and optimization of maintenance and service activities are also continuing remotely thanks to the IoT “Maestro connect“ platform that offers immediate access to a wide range of digital services to allow woodworking operators to be supported by the SCM team even in “virtual“ mode.
One of these is the “Smartech“ digital augmented reality assistance service: through a wearable computer and dedicated management software, SCM experts can diagnose and solve problems in real time. Smartech incorporates video, camera, microphone and speaker functions with wireless connectivity. This allows for two-way communication with interactive data sharing, without requiring the operator's hands.
e-Campus“ platform: smart technology for all training activities
Online courses, video tutorials, “virtual“ classrooms in which to share with qualified teachers and experts, strategic and targeted content on the main technological challenges related to the world of woodworking. Thanks to the “e-Campus“ platform, with its smart technology, all the training activities aimed at the technicians of the branches, dealers and customers of the international SCM network continue in a simple and fast way. The offer of Campus, the SCM Group's Training Centre, is accessible in a single virtual space, with two main objectives: to continue to encourage, even remotely, the updating of the skills of the SCM team dedicated to sales and technical assistance activities and to offer customers an increasingly advanced 360° support service.
