g_ink is a water-based paint system from ICRO created in partnership with Alisea Benefit Society.
Alisea, through an engineering process that improves its characteristics, transforms graphite, recovered from the industrial processes of Hi-Tech companies and destined for disposal, into Upgraded Recycled Graphite. Starting with this ingredient, ICRO has developed g_ink: an innovative formulation that can drastically reduce environmental impact and increase product performance.
Awarded at interzum forum italy award 2024
This water-based paint based on Upgraded Recycled Graphite won the "Innovation" award at the interzum forum italy awards 2024 with the following motivation from the jury: "Winner for the use of graphite, as a component together with environmentally sustainable ingredients, to produce a water-based colorant for wood and metal surfaces."
Graphite, which is derived from industrial waste, then becomes a key component of the paint, imparting aesthetic appeal and physical-chemical resistance characteristics to parquet floors, kitchen doors and countertops.
Graphite powder is dissolved in an aqueous solution with specific additives, giving the material unique colorations. The tint should be applied by roller and then evened out with cloth.
