ICA Group, world leader in production and innovation for water-based paints for wood and glass, closes 2017 with very positive results, consolidating and increasing a trend that was already positive.
In fact, the turnover in 2017 goes to 118 million euros, with an increase of 6% compared to 2016. The export share goes from 54% in 2016 to 56% in 2017, while also maintaining solid positions in Italy. Production volumes are increasing, from 25 million kilos in 2016 to 28 million in 2017. Employees also increase: from 550 to 583.
These results confirm the validity of the strategies developed by the Paniccia family, firmly at the head of the company.
“Our strategy? Internationalization, innovation, people. - said President Sandro Paniccia - The challenging and courageous choices taken years ago, together with my brothers Fabio and Piero, are now bringing results and we are very satisfied“.
In fact, ICA Group has decidedly focused on exports and internationalization of the company, investing so much that the export share is now much higher than the national one.
Another fundamental element was investing in innovation: product innovation, innovation in organization and innovation in human resources.
As far as product innovation is concerned, ICA Group can boast a cutting-edge Research & Development centre, made up of over 60 technicians, which has numerous patents and revolutionary products such as organic paints.
The innovation in the organization has seen the implementation of the “Toyota way method” that has allowed constant control and optimization of the system for the management of production, maintenance, safety and quality departments.
Finally, innovation in human resources has been achieved through particularly interesting corporate welfare projects.
Given the results achieved, the Italian company has planned over the three-year period 2018/2020 twenty-seven million euros of investments, divided almost in half between fixed assets (13,900,000) and Research & Development (13,100,000).
