Greda, the company from Mariano Comense, will attend the next Xylexpo, the biennial dedicated to the woodworking machines, from 24 to 28 May next, to offer customized solutions to improve the production capacity of each client, ensuring at the same time business efficiency, production versatility and quality of the finished product.
“We have already been working for a long time in preparation of next Xylexpo. We have always recognized this event as the most important date in even-numbered years, an excellent showcase of Italian technology, the place where we feel at home more than anywhere else”. There is no doubt for Marianna Daschini, Greda co-owner with her brother Piero.
At the upcoming Xylexpo, the Italian company is introducing several solutions, starting from the latest developments of “Mitika”, the numerical control machining center that has been going through a major revision in recent months, to such an extent that it can be considered a new machine for the industry.
The machine is perfectly suitable for the technological development of many companies around the world that are approaching numerical control technology with stronger and stronger determination; it’s a machining center with 5 interpolating axes engineered especially to process turning and routing operations on legs of solid wood parts, but also milling, shaping, modeling and engraving on the piece in one working cycle in short working time, thanks to a hidden tool-changing time and a NC-controlled workpiece loading/unloading system.
Another exhibit will be “Venus”, addressed to markets with a focus on productivity, a machining center designed to perform turning, sanding, shaping and boring operations on four workpieces simultaneously.
Another battle horse in Milan will be “Poker”, a machining center equipped with several units to process the workpiece ends (tenons, slots, holes, butting etc.) and for complex milling, contouring, turning and sanding of wood parts, in total safety and with short cycle time.
“We are optimistic for the coming months”, Marianna Daschini says. “As already stated, 2015 was a very positive year for us, with investments not only in the research and development of new solutions to be applied to our technology, but also in more extensive operations in the countries where we have decided to invest”.
Greda has a long story, celebrating their 35th anniversary this year, the company was founded in 1981. Over the years, they have constantly improved their capacity to make “special” machines, highly customized solutions designed with the specific needs of each customer in mind.
This was a rewarding strategy, allowing the Italian company to acquire a unique set of knowledge and experience, through a constant exchange of suggestions and information with other entrepreneurs looking for solutions to their manufacturing issues.
