In the end, even Xylexpo, the biennial exhibition of technologies and supplies for the furniture and wood industry, had to opt for the most logical solution, even if it certainly suffered: the event, scheduled for the end of May in Milan and postponed, following the Covd-19 emergency, to November 2020, was finally postponed to 2022.
As stated in the official press release “The board of directors of Cepra-Centro promozionale Acimall, had to take note of the impossibility of organizing Xylexpo in 2020, giving appointment to exhibitors and visitors to 2022“.
Xylexpo 2022, a modern “digital oriented“ container
The organizers have announced the lack of objective conditions to organize the 2020 edition of Xylexpo with an official communication to exhibitors dated July 6, 2020. The letter to the exhibitors explained how the move to November 2020 seemed the best possible solution. The continuous verification work carried out by the organization in recent months and the constant monitoring of all aspects essential for a major exhibition event, have unfortunately led to note that in November the context will not yet be objectively favorable.
An event like Xylexpo, with a strong international value, with more than a third of exhibitors and visitors coming from abroad, would in fact have seriously compromised its normal course due to health and economic situations not yet resolved in many areas of the world.
The appointment is therefore postponed until 2022: the team is already working to design a Xylexpo 2022 that brings together ideas and changes for a new and more modern “digital oriented“ container, a strategy that will certainly see exciting proposals and initiatives in the coming months.
