More than 2,000 exhibitors from 37 countries,148 brands including debuts and returns, more than 169,000 square meters of net exhibition area occupied, entirely sold out: with these numbers the 2025 edition of the Salone del Mobile.Milano, from April 8 to 13 at Fiera Milano Rho, strengthens its role as a leading international sector Event. Numbers that are the result of an intense promotional activity of an Event, which, every year, gathers the trust of a national and international supply chain, which recognizes the Salone's role as a strategic platform for business, sustainable innovation and internationalization.
Said Maria Porro, President of the Salone del Mobile.Milano, on the sidelines of the press conference presenting the 63rd edition of the kermesse held at the Piccolo Teatro Strehler on Tuesday, Feb. 4: “It has always been our mission to turn the international spotlight on the excellence of the sector. In Milan, in the world. The percentage of Italian and foreign exhibitors present who have continuously participated in the last 10 editions of the Annual Exhibitions is 59.4 percent. A figure that, in the complex context of international exhibition events, confirms the success of Salone in its dual soul of business accelerator and content producer. As always, every year, Salone reinvests a great deal not only in the Event, but also in a leading Cultural Program. In an ever-changing world, we are all called upon to become part of a broader vision that allows us to interpret environmental, cultural, social, and technological transformations. For Salone, investing in culture means investing in the future of businesses, strengthening their competitiveness in the long run. Participating in Salone means exhibiting, connecting, producing value but also actively contributing to the evolution of the industry, within a platform that fuels debate on scenarios and visions to come.”

Four Annual Exhibitions and the Euroluce Biennial
There are four annual Salone Events this year: Salone Internazionale del Mobile, Salone Internazionale del Complemento d'Arredo, Workplace3.0, and S.Project for a total of more than 1,000 brands, including 73 for the first time or returning to the Show. Added to these are the Euroluce Biennial with over 300 exhibitors, 46.5 percent of them from abroad, and SaloneSatellite with 700 designers under 35 and 20 international Schools and Universities.
In a sign of the evolutionary path undertaken since 2023, once again this year, the visitor will be at the center of an increasingly fluid and integrated experience. In terms of layout, what is new is the ring mesh redesign of four pavilions (13-15 and 22-24), just as new is the focus dedicated to the Italian ability to create timeless objects, in the space called A Luxury Way (Hall 13-15).
The Euroluce Biennial once again announces itself as the international platform of reference for lighting design, thanks to a quality exhibition content that offers a clear view of the industry's progress, driven by technology, sustainability and innovation, smart systems, and AI integration.
Theme of the 26th edition of SaloneSatellite “New Craftsmanship: a New World,” an invitation to re-imagine the universe of the handmade, to activate a bridge between the past and the future, starting from an idea of craftsmanship, capable of generating new interactions with contemporary design in the sign of sustainability and the value of local cultural identities.
The Cultural Program
Once again a Cultural Program of the highest level will complete the Event. Opening Salone del Mobile.Milano, will be Robert Wilson. Mother, at Museo Pietà Rondanini - Castello Sforzesco, where on April 6, in an ideal bridge with Milano Art Week, the famous American artist will dialogue with the unfinished Michelangelo's last masterpiece, to music by Arvo Pärt (in collaboration with Comune Milano | Cultura, until May 18). Opening the visit to the Salone will be, instead, a project with a strong emotional impact: La dolce attesa, a site-specific installation signed by Oscar winner Paolo Sorrentino (pav. 22-24) to then continue, in pavilions 13-15, with an invitation to discover Villa Héritage, a visionary interior design project signed by Pierre-Yves Rochon, French architect author among the most exclusive “addresses” of international hospitality.
Another important novelty 2025 is the first edition of The Euroluce International Lighting Forum (April 10-11, Hall 2): two days of masterclasses, round tables and workshops. It will feature more than 20 international speakers including lighting designers, architects, artists, set designers, scientists, biologists, anthropologists, astronomers, and psychologists invited to share visions, insights, and research and design practices with the aim of stimulating with a multidisciplinary gaze a deeper understanding of the future of lighting. Hosting the forum is an exceptional space: the Arena The Forest of Space designed by Japanese architect Sou Fujimoto.

Salon: the validity of a model
One figure clearly indicates the size of the Show: 9,238,429,199 euros, or the total turnover of Italian brands exhibiting in April, accounting for 34 percent of the turnover of the entire national Macro Furniture System (more than 21 thousand companies). To this is then added 6,989,984,073 euros in total turnover of foreign brands, confirming the validity of the Salone model.
For Claudio Feltrin, president of FederlegnoArredo, the Salone del Mobile.Milano “is the highest expression of our industrial manufacturing and an indispensable asset for companies seeking new markets and new audiences; it is the international showcase where a year's work on research and innovation allows brands to ‘explode’ in all their power. And it is thanks to the strength of exhibitors and products that the Salone del Mobile.Milano continues to set trends and guide markets around the world, like the Oscars for film production. Over the years, the Show has been able to evolve, renew itself, but it has never lost its natural center of gravity as the most attractive and important business fair for the design industry. There is no more powerful tool than the Salone del Mobile.Milano for the industrial challenges that the sector will have to face, indeed it becomes even more so precisely in times of a difficult economic situation such as the current one, in which the Salone becomes an instrument of industrial policy.”

The Salon and the city
Once again this year, the Salone embraces Milan in the context of Milan Design Week. For the fifth consecutive year, the connection with the Fondazione Teatro alla Scala is renewed. Curating the official opening night at La Scala will be Robert Wilson, who - with The Night Before. Object Chairs Opera - will offer a journey through some of the most celebrated pieces of the opera repertoire, which he has directed over the years.
“Milan and the Salone del Mobile,” said Giuseppe Sala, Mayor of Milan, ”are undoubtedly part of each other's history: they are united by a relationship that grows stronger and stronger every year. Our city is proud to share with the Salone del Mobile the ability to grasp the challenges of the present and the commitment to study, implement and propose solutions that can have a positive impact on the future of the sector and in the life of the community.”
