Rehau Italia, the Italian subsidiary of the international group specializing in polymer processing, celebrated its first sixty years in business in our country, celebrating the achievement of this important milestone with employees and customers in Milan, where the Italian history of the Rehau group began.
Rehau Italy, the expansion of a company
The history of Rehau Italia began in a small Milan office opened in 1964, which was followed by a move to Cinisello Balsamo in the 1970s and 1980s to its current headquarters in Cambiago, built in 1998 and equipped with 3,000 square meters of warehouse space and 2,000 square meters of office and exhibition space.
As a reference point for the south-central area, in 1992 the company opened its first Roman branch in Monterotondo Scalo, which moved in 2003 to larger premises where Rehau Akademie training activities could be carried out.
In 2001 it strengthened its presence in the Italian territory with the opening of the Pesaro and Treviso offices, in the heart of Italy's two most important industrial furniture districts. Today, with the confluence of the Treviso staff in the Milan branch and the Pesaro branch, there are a total of three locations where the more than 120 employees work.
Always facing new challenges
Initially, the Rehau Group introduced systems for sanitary adduction, radiant systems and gas distribution to the Italian market from what is now the Building Solutions division, and then opened up to PVC window and patio door solutions from the Window Solutions division and components for the furniture industry from the Furniture Solutions division, with a growing product portfolio thanks to the continuous search for new polymer solutions.
Ivano Poletti, Country Manager of Rehau Italy, said, “The many changes that have characterized our first 60 years of history have been demanding, challenging, but there has always been one constant: being able to count on the commitment, professionalism and dedication of the people who, sharing identity and values, work with passion in the Italian team. The willingness to get involved in the face of each new challenge has made our company great and will continue to do so in the future. Finally, we cannot forget the trust that has been placed in us over the years by so many partners and customers, ambitious entrepreneurs and professionals who, like us, believe in innovation and technological progress to help improve people's quality of life.”
