At Sicam 2024, Marmo Arredo, a Scapin Group brand that has been in the furniture and construction industry for more than four decades, turned the spotlight on its innovative ability to process the stone material for kitchen countertops and bathroom areas, once again confirming its sartorial approach that combines aesthetics, functionality and complex technological research in stone processing.

Design, creativity and craftsmanship

Protagonist of the booth is a fine selection of natural stones, such as travertines, onyxes, quartzites and marbles arranged in a material library, along with the Quartzforms® collections with through vein Forest, Ocean and Planet and the sustainable Ecotone™ surfaces of the New Era family in the 12 available colors. 

At the center of the booth are Marmo Arredo's kitchen and bath area works, the perfect synthesis of design, creativity, in-depth knowledge of materials and technical excellence that characterize the brand.

Technological innovations for stone surfaces

Also on display were Marmo Arredo's technological innovations such as Shield® and Absolute Shield®, two innovative treatments developed to preserve the natural beauty of marble, ensuring durability and elegance over time.

These cutting-edge solutions, designed to protect the stone material from stains, abrasions and chemical agents, ensure that veining, texture and colors remain unchanged over time, enhancing the preciousness of marble in any environment.

Effective protection for excellent performance

Absolute Shield® is an advanced treatment that, through the application of an extremely thin and invisible film of silica, makes the surface oil and water repellent, as well as acid resistant, ensuring effective protection from damage caused by liquids and chemicals. It is also insoluble from most organic compounds and safe for food contact, making it ideal for use in environments such as kitchens and restaurants. The Absolute Shield® treatment has been tested by Catas laboratories, achieving the highest certification (A).

Shield® is inspired by aerospace technology and applies an ultra-thin silica-based finish that makes the surface non-absorbent and resistant to aggressive agents. Completely invisible and suitable for food contact, Shield® protects surfaces from dirt, stains and organic compounds while preserving their natural beauty. 

Both treatments are permanent and integrate into the stone, offering long-term protection that makes it easier to clean and maintain surfaces.
