FederlegnoArredo has launched FLA Plus Services, the digital hub with targeted services useful for competing in Italy and around the world, especially in the field of ecological transition: certification portal, material library, circularity tool, customs counter and supply chain data.

One year after the creation of the Hub FLA plus, FederlegnoArredo intends to develop further sustainability-themed projects, expanding its range of action with a new service platform dedicated exclusively to member companies.

The president of FederlegnoArredo, Claudio Feltrin, presenting the initiative as a preview to members during the annual general meeting held in Desenzano Del Garda, explained that "FLA Plus Services represents the Federation's entrepreneurial, strategic, but above all sustainable vision and is a tool with which we intend to support our companies, offering them useful services to compete in Italy and worldwide. It is no coincidence that FLA Plus, while continuing to have a sustainable heart, from today also speaks of internationalisation, information and training for a more competitive supply chain'.

Entrepreneurial, strategic and sustainable competitiveness

FLA Plus Services is a digital hub that offers solutions oriented to facilitate the growth of member companies in terms of entrepreneurial, strategic and, above all, sustainable competitiveness.

Among the tools is the 'Circularity Tool', built around the UNI/TS 11820 standard, to measure the circularity of processes by which every company can measure itself. Another service designed around the specific requirements of the sector is the 'Sustainable Materials Library', a database of information on materials suitable for use in the wood-furnishing sector, built in collaboration with Materially, with the possibility of filtering materials according to sustainability criteria and characteristics.

Member companies can also count on tailor-made services for the wood-furniture supply chain, from the certification portal to the customs counter, from financial consultancy to fully digitised and interactive sector data.

Also on the FLA Plus Services platform is the Wood-Furniture Glossary, an up-to-date tool designed to give members the opportunity to clearly communicate all the details of their products abroad using specific and technical terminology. The service is available in 7 languages, including Chinese.

FederlegnoArredo Sustainability Report

FederlegnoArredo has also launched a training course for companies to bring them closer to sustainability reporting, and at the assembly presented its sustainability report that photographs the strategies implemented to date and the goals to be pursued in the immediate future to provide a transparent and objective key to understanding the Federation's commitment and results in the field of ESG (Environmental, Social, Governance) issues.

A supply chain pioneer in the green industry

The members' meeting was also an opportunity to launch the road show that, starting in September, will see President assemblypresent the potential of FLA Plus and the new service platform, together with the project partners, in the main districts of the supply chain in more detail. "Our aspiration," concluded Feltrin, "is to create tools and synergies so that our supply chain becomes a pioneer in the green industry, and a recognised and recognisable guide for entrepreneurs and operators in the sector. We are aware that our choices are reflected throughout the entire product value chain. In the face of the challenges ahead of us, it is essential to have a common tool, to support our members, to network them, and to make them go far".
