Schattdecor presents the Decor Selection 2020, an online digital collection that includes new developments and best-selling decors. There are 14 selected designs that respond to new ideas and solutions arising from research into a new sense of well-being in living, working and working. Decorative surfaces ranging from modern to rustic style, perfectly combinable with each other, a complete and harmonious collection according to contemporary needs.
The sudden changes that are taking place in our society in recent times, mainly due to the Covid-19 pandemic, have also prompted Schattdecor to review and redefine its concept of “Urban Styles: Places of tomorrow“ in terms of new currents and new influences. The company has therefore developed these new décors and products to meet new demands in the fields of living, work and everyday life on the basis of internal developments and the latest trend research under the motto “Reaching a new normality“.
The new decors of the Decor Selection 2020
New requirements shape the design of our homes. Small spaces require space-saving solutions, but also comfortable rooms for privacy and relaxation where you can feel at ease and find inner peace. The wood and stone decors convey this sense of concreteness and comfort; the natural tones of the floors or furniture exude security and warmth. This is why natural surfaces are now in particular demand: Schattdecor's decorative stone surfaces include Kalahari, a marble with intense quartz veins and a strong 3D effect, which can be used, for example, on a modern sliding door to create a special focal point and at the same time have a practical furnishing element.
In times of smart working, great attention is given to the home office which requires new ideas to create not only visual but also emotional separations between living and working. Partition walls or other modularity are used to create private and individual work situations; the “Golden Veins“ decoration, characterised by graphic details and golden joints, is particularly attractive reproduced on large surfaces and harmoniously integrated in the various environments, making them refined and rich in details.
In public spaces, on the other hand, decorative textile or wood surfaces can be an interesting alternative to real fabric: a good example is Newport Maple, a maple design with a particular colour shade. Equally versatile is the decorative Noce Tortona, perfect to be used in the most different spaces and combined for example with stones or solid colours, for an elegant and modern furnishing.
