Schattdecor, a surface specialist and decor developer, recreated a city on its stand at interzum, a megalopolis in which it presented to customers, designers and architects its rich product portfolio that meets the needs of the surfaces of the future with new designs and materials for living, working and living areas.
On 850 square meters and for the first time on two levels, Schattdecor has developed a trend-setting theme such as “urbanization“ and the effects on urban living spaces, through the new large format digital prints such as Himalaya or Pyramide, the large floor surfaces with proven decors such as Neapolis or the new Coastline Oak, used for the staircase in Public Space.
New designs, design trends and innovations
Once again,“ said President Roland Auer, “we were able to pass on our complete product portfolio together with our unmistakable Schattdecor corporate culture. As surface specialists, we presented an unprecedented variety of new products, design trends and innovations at our stand - the Schattdecor City - that are always close to the needs of our customers and that is why they have received overwhelmingly positive feedback.
The stand featured the profile of a megalopolis on the outside facade with a special mix of materials - metal, graffiti, concrete, but also plants and warm tones in the designs. Inside the stand, the Skinny House and the Coliving area showed the new private areas of the future: in the living area, the new Pyramid design attracted attention, combining comfort and modernity, while in the coliving area, the new Grey Caspio decoration was highly appreciated in its supermat finish, resistant and with an anti-fingerprint effect.
Two innovative products: Smartfoil Nature and Smartflex Nature
Schattdecor also presented two innovative products at interzum: Smartfoil Nature and Smartflex Nature.
With Smartfoil Nature, Schattdecor was able to imitate nature so perfectly that the difference between imitation and original was almost imperceptible. By combining perfect print quality with a glossy matte and synchronous decorative structure, a veneer-like or solid wood-like optical effect was created that appears extremely natural and can be applied in various sectors thanks to its anti-fingerprint effect.
The same feedback was given to its counterpart, the innovative product Smartflex Nature, which is proposed as Schattdecor's response to the demand for thermoplastic surfaces in the furniture industry and interior design. This extremely elastic surface combines the efficiency and low maintenance of a plastic film with a decorative-synchronous appearance and a matte finish similar to real wood. Thanks to its closed and easy to clean surface, Smartflex Nature is particularly suitable for use in kitchens and wet areas. Its flexibility and formability also make the material particularly suitable for wrapping.
