Schattdecor has long been involved in the megatrend of “urbanisation“, convinced that the demands and demands of the urban living environment will offer companies and service providers new opportunities and challenges for the future. The megatrend of urbanization, the core of the Schattdecor presentation at interzum 2019, will also be the focus of the upcoming Sicam.
Claudia Küchen, Intergroup Design and Marketing Director, said that in the future innovation will characterize not only the surfaces of private living spaces, but also public ones, creating more diversified sharing environments, those that are called “Places of Tomorrow“. Alongside this there is the trend, now more and more consolidated, of buying furniture online, which is why the company offers, in addition to decorative and innovative surfaces, also valid solutions for e-commerce. “In addition to new products that respond to the uninterrupted trend towards oak and the demand for linear woods, which can be easily combined, - said Claudia Küchen - we will present a decorative oak effect of modern conception, together with a decorative fabric effect with strong lines, just to name two of the new products“.
At Sicam 2019 Schattdecor confirms the trend that follows the motto “Urban Styles - Places of Tomorrow“, which has already been appreciated by visitors at interzum, in the three forms of Coliving, Coworking and Public Space, proposing innovative solutions that will make our spaces of tomorrow (Places of Tomorrow, precisely) even more liveable.
Coliving as a new form of living
Coliving is the sharing of temporary living spaces with the relative know-how for people not bound to a specific workplace. For the theme Coliving, Schattdecor has proposed at interzum some decorative stone or wood-effect designs and light-coloured designs, presented on large surfaces that have been very successful. Stone effect decors such as Grey Caspio with dark veins and a modern metallic effect can easily be combined with very expressive wooden decors such as Delano Oak. The Istanbul Walnut or Black Glow decors will also fit perfectly into these living spaces.
Coworking: the world of work is changing
In recent years, the availability of urban spaces is increasingly scarce and has, above all, high costs, which is why the “Coworking Spaces“ offer the ideal solution for the temporary use of creative and complex living environments. In this sector, light wood types such as Frost Pine, the decorative wood reminiscent of Scandinavian woods, are particularly popular. Thanks to the alternation of its light and dark structures, this decorative wood gives the surfaces a strong graphic effect.
Public spaces: “middle“ life
Public spaces have now become more and more places of communication, networking and relaxation. In today's society, stations, airports and shopping centres have become increasingly popular places in everyday life and for this reason they are required to adapt with great versatility to new needs. For the realization of public environments, for example, the modern wooden structure of the decorative Canyon Malibu Chestnut perfectly matches with other materials and colors, proving to be a particularly suitable decorative in public environments as a floor or design for furniture.
The e-commerce phenomenon
Alongside traditional commerce, e-commerce has become an increasingly widespread phenomenon, thanks to the established habit of buying online. In the field of online furniture purchases, it is important to take care of a well-defined offer of possible combinations, to offer a visual appeal that encourages the purchase. The new Tropea Oak decorative, thanks to its extremely refined surface, perfectly matches, among others, with the new Prato, a decorative textile effect, which stands out for its three-dimensional structure.
