Catas, the laboratory of tests and examinations for the wood-furniture sector, also boasts a rich and careful training and in-depth analysis. In fact, the Catas Academy meetings and seminars begin in this period and will focus on very specific but always very interesting topics.

Next September 20, at 2 pm, a meeting will be held at the Catas headquarters in Lissone (Monza Brianza), which will address the topic of the new legislative framework for class 1 medical devices, in light of the European regulation that came into force in May 2017 Andrea Giavon, director of Catas, Alberto Gelosa, head of the Lissone site, and Roberto Passini, director of Sicom Testing, will take part in the task of deepening the topics related to electrified products, for which there are obviously a series of specificities to be respected.

The meeting is aimed at manufacturers of medical devices, designers and distributors, but also to those responsible for purchasing health and social care facilities.

The second event will be organized, instead, at the headquarters of San Giovanni al Natisone (Udine) on Thursday, September 27th from 4 to 6 pm. The seminar, organized in collaboration with the Mansi law firm, is entitled “Selling abroad: technical and legal aspects on contracts and international trade“. Selling across the border is increasingly complex and the choices of the most important world economies in recent weeks are a concrete testimony: protectionism, tariffs, bilateral agreements are the boundaries within which Italian companies will have to move with ever greater skills if they want to maintain the results of the past.

Andrea Giavon and Daniele Bergamasco of Catas will illustrate to those present which are the most current topics in the field of chemical and mechanical safety, while the lawyer Francesco Mansi will deal with the technical-legal aspects of the export dynamics.
