The eleventh edition of Sicam Pordenone confirmed the positive data already achieved last year with the presence at the fair of 604 exhibitors, 27% of which from abroad from 32 countries.
From the analysis of the data provided by the organizers, it can be seen that the countries of origin of the visitors have grown slightly (109 compared to 104 in the previous edition) and that one visitor out of three attending Sicam 2019 was foreign. The number of companies that sent their professionals to Pordenone was 8,281. As far as the countries of origin are concerned, we find alongside the historical ones, Germany, Spain, France, Great Britain and Austria, those of more recent acquisition such as China, Russia, Ukraine and Central European countries such as Slovenia, Croatia, Poland and Romania.
The Asian component is also on the increase, this year at 24% of the total number of foreign visitors, with the presence not only from China, but also from India, Turkey, Iran and Korea.
High quality of visitors
Very interesting, however, is to analyze the profile of the visitor of Sicam 2019: this year in first place we find the role of owner / CEO / general manager of the company that reaches 37% of recorded attendance. Then, with 21%, there are people who cover technical, production and purchasing roles, with 25% those who have commercial and marketing functions. Also this year the designers and interior architects present at the event are growing further.
The furniture production sector was obviously the most present with 43% of industrial companies and 22% of artisan companies visiting; the trade component was also significant, with a total of 26% of admissions.
Sicam: a rich but quick exhibition to visit
Another significant fact is the average time spent at the fair, which this year was 1.28 days (1.17 for Italians and 1.56 for foreigners). Sicam is an exhibition with a rich exhibition offer, but at the same time fast to visit. The layout of the pavilions is very simple and clear, the three entry points facilitate the flow of visitors allowing visiting professionals to optimize their time.
Carlo Giobbi, owner of the exhibition, recalls: “At Sicam we try to put everyone in a position to work at their best and to make the most of the time to develop relationships and get to know new products, focusing attention only and exclusively on the product and the business. We therefore aim to constantly improve the exhibition offer, to make our services more efficient and to give all the professionals present a unique operational experience in terms of quality and effectiveness: high quality exhibitors automatically attract visitors of the same quality, and at Sicam you can see it clearly, you can touch it with your hands“.
The appointment with the 12th Sicam is scheduled in Pordenone from Tuesday 13th to Friday 16th October 2020.
