From 16 to 19 October the pavilions of Fiera Pordenone will host Sicam 2018, the International Exhibition of Components, Semi-finished Products and Accessories for the Furniture Industry. This year the event celebrates its ten-year anniversary with an exhibition area of over 16,200 net m2, the largest of the Salone exhibition so far. The most visible novelty of this tenth edition of SICAM will be the creation of Pavilion 10, an extension of the exhibition complex needed to host this year the many new companies that have asked to be present and to give further space to products and innovations those that had already reconfirmed their participation since last year. Pavilion 10 will be a modern and functional additional structure built on the “north“ side of the Exhibition Centre to host exhibition, catering services and entrance to the pavilions on the side closest to the city. There are three entrances reserved for those presenting their badges: in Pavilion 1, Pavilion 5 and in the new Pavilion 10.
The Sicam format is now widely tested and is definitely the strong point of the event, but every year there are improvements that make it even more effective. Services that are added or integrated, having in mind the work of professionals who in the four days of opening become the protagonists of the Salone.
This year the transport services offer increases for those coming to SICAM. From the international “Marco Polo“ airport of Venice the frequencies of the shuttle services reserved to the Salone customers will be recorded every half hour, both on the outward and on the return journey. And they are operative the whole day, from 8.30 of the first departure from the airport to 17.30 with the last one from the Fair. Four round-trip connections will also connect the “Canova“ international airport of Treviso every day. For those who want to move by train, the “Frecciarossa“ Trenitalia links directly Pordenone with Milan (two return trips per day) and Rome, serving on this route also Bologna and Florence. From the railway station the ATAP city bus service (lines 6 and 7) will take you to the Exhibition Centre in just a few minutes. All public transport in Pordenone, thanks to an agreement stipulated with ATAP, will be free for visitors and exhibitors of SICAM: it will be sufficient to show their personal entrance badge to the control staff.
