The Schattdecor Group, the specialist for surfaces for the furniture industry, ended the financial year 2023 with preliminary total sales of more than EUR 900 million, marking a slight decline compared to the previous year's sales. However, the Group's production remains at the level of 2023 with approximately 1.4 billion square metres of decor printing and 725 million square metres of finished surfaces.
Energy and passion
These figures reflect the uncertain phase the industry is currently in and how a recovery is not yet in sight.
Roland Auer, CEO of the Schattdecor Group, analysing the situation, says: 'The year 2023 was characterised by clear contrasts, a year of continuous ups and downs. All the more reason to continue with energy and passion. We continue to make our way through these difficult times, with new products in step with the times, partnerships and an international network'.
Investments in efficient and innovative technologies and processes
With these motivations, the company is investing EUR 40 million in the current financial year in the expansion of production capacities and technologies, in maintenance work and in the expansion of its infrastructure worldwide. All these projects are aimed at meeting the needs of the market and customers. Roland Auer concludes: 'It remains the order of the day to continue to focus our efforts on efficient and innovative technologies and processes, as well as on a product range that is always up-to-date and up-to-date.
