Tabu, Italian excellence in wood dyeing, produces dyed natural veneers and multilaminar veneers for furniture and architecture. These have been included in the 555.18 Collection, the world's largest collection of dyed natural veneers and multilaminar veneers for interior projects.
This collection, also known as RED BOX 555, is composed of 555 colours that represent the best of the technological knowledge developed by Tabu in over 90 years of experience in wood dyeing.
The love and passion for wood, the constant commitment to enhance its innate beauty, the awareness of being in front of a living and noble material, led the company from Cantù to develop this 555.18 Collection, defining it as “Natura Naturans“, a neologism coined by the seventeenth-century philosophy to perfectly describe this concept.

555 dyed natural veneers and multilaminar veneers

The RED BOX 555 is a valuable tool designed for the design and market, a fundamental support for architects and designers.
In fact, it contains the entire extraordinary selection of 555 natural dyed veneers and multilaminar veneers, presented in real samples, divided into 13 colour scale folders.
All the veneers are described in detail: the wood species, the code and the type of structure are indicated. It is also specified if it is multilaminar wood, precious wood, sheets with hard cover. Also included here is the Ecozero® line of veneers, non-toxic and sustainable because they are made with FSC® certified woods and with the use of glues free of any formaldehyde emission, and the Bio² line of veneers made with FSC® certified wood species, produced with a dyeing process that is repeatable over time and free of synthetic dyes.

Roots & Graffiti Collection

The RED BOX 555 also includes the Radiche & Graffiti collection with high-definition shots of each panel, settings and description of the decorations as well as a folder with real samples of the wood species used.
The Radiche Collection is articulated in 4 precious panels of Walnut Root and Ash Root while the Graffiti Collection presents 14 refined inlays made with natural dyed veneers such as Oak, Eucalyptus, Frisé Maple, Erable, Birch and Tay.

Groovy three-dimensional surfaces

Unpublished and extremely particular three-dimensional surfaces, presented in 10 textures, are those of the Groovy Collection. It is a collection for true wood lovers, enhanced by the technical virtuosity and creative energy achieved by Tabu.
The thickness of each panel is 1.0/1.1 mm and is the result of the combination of two sheets of dyed natural veneers. The panels are available in two sizes: 1250 x 2500 mm or 1250 x 3050 mm, depending on the type of drawing.  The Groovy folder, inserted in the RED BOX 555, contains 10 real three-dimensional samples.
RED BOX 555 finally contains the three collections of wooden floors and the presentation of the company and the values that have characterized Tabu in all these years.
