The numbers of the first edition of interzum forum italy 2024, the biennial event dedicated to the furniture and interior design subcontracting sector, organized by Koelnmesse, which took place at the Bergamo Fairgrounds on June 6 and 7, have just been published.
There were 4,820 visitors from 52 countries (20 percent of attendance from abroad) and 216 exhibitors from 24 countries (with an internationality rate of 36 percent). The Top Ten countries with the most visitors included Germany, Poland, Spain, France, Belgium, Great Britain, Serbia, Turkey and Switzerland, in addition to Italy. Over the two days of the fair, more than 30 conferences were held with the participation of more than 60 national and international speakers.
Satisfaction from organizers
Thomas Rosolia, CEO of Koelnmesse Italy and organizer of the event, said, "The premiere of interzum forum italy exceeded all expectations. We are thrilled with the high number of high quality visitors and perfectly on target with the planned goals. The interest of the companies rewarded us, the exhibitors welcomed the new exhibition format and many of them actively participated by enlivening the conference meeting program. The numbers of this very first edition have confirmed to us that we are on the right track and have been able to grasp the market demands for a biennial event alternating with interzum. Thanks to the feedback gathered, we are already at work for the 2026 edition."
Focus on Textile & Machinery
Visitors' interest was particularly directed toward the section dedicated to Textile & Machinery, underscoring the liveliness of a sector in continuous evolution, which does not find an adequate place in Italy within trade fairs.
Rich and interesting conference program
The conference part of interzum forum italy 2024 was interesting and full of insights, addressing extremely topical issues such as sustainability and innovation. Topics toward which there is more and more attention from companies, especially from the subcontracting sector, but which are rarely addressed within the fairs related to this very sector.
The panel discussion entitled "Business outlook. Global innovation and local production: the evolution of materials, technology and furniture markets," featured Lorenzo Tavazzi, Jörg Buck, Edi Snaidero, Alessandra Tracogna, Piero Paganoni, Roger Reichert and Alfonso Tentori.
Three stages - those of Trend Talk, Trend Stage and Product Stage - welcomed 30 conferences and 60 Italian and international speakers, to share visions and trends of the spaces we inhabit, the development of materials and finishes, and new production processes, with a transversal attention to low environmental impact. An opportunity to have an updated look not only at the furniture supply chain but also at interior design for the hotellerie, yachting and naval, RV and automotive sectors.
