Technology is now playing an increasingly central role in domestic spaces, especially in the kitchen environment.
In fact, smart devices have entered homes all over the world: a recent WGSN research shows that in 2025 smart technology will be ubiquitous and increasingly integrated, invisible, simplifying daily life and merging with the architecture of the home.
Two will therefore be the most significant trends in the sector: the need to be increasingly smart and the need to integrate new technological solutions into the kitchen project.
To respond to these demands, Elica proposes multifunctional solutions capable of concealing inside them functionality and cutting-edge technological details, characterised by a discreet and essential design. Induction hobs and hoods that integrate into the ceiling or top, space-saving solutions or those capable of illuminating the kitchen environment, always guaranteeing optimal cooking results and high suction performance.
Elica Connect: invisible technology
Smart products have greater appeal than traditional ones because they are able to respond automatically to various functions: connectivity has now become an indispensable tool for interacting with the product even remotely.
Interaction, connectivity and ease of use are fundamental elements of the invisible technology of tech homes: this is why Elica has equipped its vacuum cleaner systems with wi-fi connection. Thanks to Elica Connect, in fact, it is possible to control the hood via smartphone or voice assistant. This feature is so appreciated by its customers that Elica has decided to further optimise the service: soon, in fact, all the products in the Elica Connect range will also be compatible with the intelligent Google Home assistant.
Space-saving Elica Hoods
Elica's space-saving products with connectivity include the Get Up retractable hood. Available in four finishes - total black, stainless steel, cast iron effect and naked - Get Up rises from the kitchen top only when necessary to disappear after use. A product with a linear and elegant design, the utmost expression of customisation: in the naked version it is possible, in fact, to use the same material as the kitchen top for the upper part of the hood, thus creating a homogeneous and linear look.
Skydome and Illusion, on the other hand, are the two connected ceiling hoods that take care of the domestic air all day long thanks to Airmatic, the function that detects odours, vapours and pollutants in the air in the home by activating and adjusting the hood's suction intensity automatically.
Hidden 2.0@, the first connected built-in hood by Elica
Design, technology and innovation also characterise Hidden 2.0@, Elica's first connected built-in hood designed to disappear into the wall unit. An essential and clean aesthetic: the part inserted in the wall unit in the shape of an inverted T maximises space, leaving it free to store any useful object. The product has also been designed giving importance to energy optimisation for the benefit of consumption thanks to Airmatic technology, capable of autonomously adjusting the suction speed. Special attention was also paid to the light factor through a modular LED strip that allows uniform illumination of the work surface.
