Elcam: fifty years of history 

Elcam's history has its roots in that enterprising and hardworking Brianza of the 1970s, which, thanks to technical progress, was beginning to change the rules of the upholstered furniture industry. It was precisely in those years that the three Cazzaniga brothers started the company, beginning in the fabric sector.

As Ernesto Cazzaniga recounts, “My father started the business after the war as a door-to-door mattress maker. Hence my foresight in understanding that the market could expand to cushions and upholstery as well. In 1975 the move to Macherio, in Brianza, where Elcam was born as a production of semi-finished products for upholstered furniture.”

Over the years, the Cazzaniga brothers took different paths, and it was in 2007 that the new Elcam was born: Ernesto Cazzaniga acquired the shares from his brother and was succeeded by his daughter Daniela in administration, his son-in-law Roberto in sales and his son Vittorio, already with the company, in production. 2014 saw the construction of the current headquarters in Lissone, about 10,000 square meters, followed in 2018 by the acquisition of an additional 12,000-square-meter facility in Sovico.
