For over 40 years, Delitex has been offering valuable professional support to manufacturers in the upholstery sector.
Thanks to the great experience acquired over all these years, the company has consolidated strongly in the national territory and lately also in Europe and beyond, offering a wide range of high quality products. It is precisely the quality of the materials and increasingly specialised know-how that allow it to offer its customers tailor-made solutions.
We put a few questions to Omar Gaslini, owner of BH Delitex, to find out about the results achieved and future objectives.
Start of the year, time to take stock and strategise for the future. What goals do you have for tackling the markets in 2024?
The year 2023 was divided into two distinct phases: in the first half of the year we recorded a positive trend in demand, maintaining essentially the same numbers as at the end of 2022. However, in the second half of the year we experienced a slowdown that continued into these early months of 2024. The global situation, characterised by conflicts and difficult scenarios, including the total or partial closure of the Suez Canal, is certainly not conducive to a climate of stability, which inevitably affects the increase in demand in all sectors. Nevertheless, we are satisfied with the results achieved so far and remain confident in replicating the successes of previous years.

Sustainability is now considered a great opportunity for companies. How is this concern for the environment expressed in your company?
Regarding our product sustainability, we have introduced items made from recycled materials, including yarns derived from recycled plastic bottles, with a high percentage of regenerated fibres. In our production cycle, we have completely eliminated the purchase of cardboard tubes, recycling the incoming ones as packaging material. In addition, we use completely recyclable packaging and send the unavoidable waste to companies that produce polyethylene film. An important step forward is also the construction of a photovoltaic system that will allow us to achieve energy self-sufficiency.

What importance do you place on service for customer satisfaction and how does this materialise?
Customer satisfaction is our top priority and we promote it through attentive service that embraces not only quality and attention to detail, but also customer care after the purchase. Although we have no formal procedures for collecting feedback, we rely primarily on the loyalty of our customers, many of whom have been with us for over 30 years.
