- Ennobled panels
Also this year Cleaf was present at Sicam with its surfaces and innovative solutions for the furniture and interior design sector presented in a very attractive stand designed by Bestetti Associati. Cleaf will be presenting two new products at Sicam 2019: the Solid Colours collection and the new synchronised version of the Burnt finish.
The stand highlighted the characteristics of the collection of surfaces through two self-supporting displays with metal frames that suggested possible applications and two wall displays that underlined the tactile and visual sensations of the three coordinated types of product: faced panel, laminate and edge.
The Solid Colours collection
Developed in collaboration with Studio MILO, which took care of the creative direction, the Solid Colours collection is composed of 90 colours divided into two families: Still and Sparkling.
These 90 decorative papers are pigmented and impregnated with water-based thermosetting resins that can be combined with 60 different Cleaf finishes to create a collection of ABS faced panels, laminates and edges for furniture and interior design.
The new synchronized version of the Burnt finish
Shou Sugi Ban is the ancient Japanese technique of burning wood to preserve it over time. Besides being a conservative and eco-sustainable practice, it gives an aesthetically pleasing “burnt wood“ effect. The Burnt finish is the representation of this effect on an ash essence. The new synchronized version gives the product an extremely realistic appearance. It is available as a veneered panel, laminate and ABS edge.
