An innovative material for the interior design
Rehau, leader company in the supply of components for the furniture industry, it has chosen Sicam 2016 to introduce the last novelty: Rauvisio karat, the new polymeric stone for the interior design.
With Rauvisio karat, Rehau offers to furniture producers and interior designers an innovative material from the universal use that reproduces the charm of the natural stone, maintaining the characteristics of resistance and stability, both in households like kitchen and bath, both in the commercial offices, in catering, in hotellerie and even in the healthcare sector.
Rauvisio karat is composed by mineral material for around 60% and by PMMA for 40% and it is distinguished by a not-porous homogeneous surface. Combined to Rauvisio substrate with technology XPS, a simple solution for all applications and particularly suitable in the damp environments like the bath, the surface Rehau offers numerous advantages in terms of processing: lighter than 40% in comparison to the stone, it can be in fact worked with machineries for the wood or with utensils to the diamond, allowing to be cut to measure and personalized on the spot. Usable in simple and fast way, both in vertical that in horizontal, Rauvisio karat is thermoformable and it allows therefore to effect curves, conferring a sought design and assuring an aesthetical and functional continuity between surfaces of work and walls, lending to any type of application.
The resistance to loads and the non-slip characteristics (R11), they make in fact the Rehau surface ideal for the flooring, but also as bottom and wall shower and as covering of the walls in the bathroom; the scratch proof features and the inalterability from the UV rays and chemical elements satisfy the requisite for the planning of working plans and furniture for kitchen, where the resistance to temperatures up to 220°C make it also enjoyable in presence of induction plates.
The non-porous structure, easy to clean and sure from the hygienic point of view, it is finally lent to the employment in sterile environments, like laboratories and hospital facilities.
