Among them are prominent names such as Baxter, Cassina, Cattelan, Edra, Gallotti & Radice, Giorgetti, Flexform, Knoll International, Lapalma, Lema, Minotti, Molteni, Natuzzi, Riva 1920.
imm cologne 2020: a new layout
The 2020 edition of imm cologne sees a new layout that aims at a better organization of the thematic areas allowing a more organic and effective visit by industry operators and consumers. From this year there will be two poles of attraction: after the success of the Pure segment, introduced a few years ago to give more visibility to the top of the range and design, the new Home segment, which brings together all the proposals for the home and will be divided into three areas Home Sleep, Home Scenes and Home Settings.
The Pure segment will be housed in Halls 11, 3, 2 and 4.2 and will be divided into Pure Atmospheres, a privileged location for the most important design brands, Pure Editions, a showcase for creative brands presenting furnishings and visionary concepts, and Pure Architects, a tool for the creative work of architects and interior designers in search of carpets, fabrics, flooring, bathroom furnishings, lighting and coverings.
The Home segment will occupy the northern part of the fairgrounds with Halls 10, 9, 8, 7, 6, 5 and 4.1 and, as we said, will see the presence of three areas: Home Sleep, in Hall 9, will present all the novelties dedicated to quality sleep, proposing all the new solutions regarding mattresses, bed systems, boxspring beds, water mattresses, bed linen and decorative accessories; Home Scenes, distributed in Halls 5.2, 6, 10.1 and 10.2, offers a very rich overview of the latest trends and innovations in the field of interior design with seats, armchairs, sofas, convertible sofas, beds, living room furniture and shelving; Home Settings, finally, located in Halls 4.1, 5.1, 5.2, 7 and 8, offers intelligent furnishing solutions for young environments, easy to assemble and with an excellent quality/price ratio.
“Future of Living“ at the center of the side events
“Future of Living“ is the central theme of the extensive programme of events planned for imm cologne 2020. Also this year there will be the installation “Das Haus“, entrusted to the Spanish design team MUT Design, invited to design the ideal home. The Spanish studio for its interpretation draws inspiration from the Mediterranean lifestyle, the Spanish houses that revolve around the patio, where indoor and outdoor space interact to create a fluid and contemporary environment.
The “Pure Talents Contest 2020“ will see the selection of 20 ideas for tomorrow's lifestyles proposed by 20 young designers while the exhibition “Let's be smart - Smart Village“ will dedicate its 800 square meters of exhibition space to illustrate new technologies, intelligent living environments for families and sustainable microlife concepts.
