- Technological materials for furniture
The latest creation by LG HausysThe latest creation by LG Hausys in the kitchen sector is the Leaf kitchen, an island made entirely of HI-MACS®, presented at Maison&Objet in Paris. The HI-MACS® New Generation Acrylic Stone is an extremely interesting material; the technical qualities of HI-MACS®, combined with its thermoforming character and the absence of visible joints, give life to unprecedented projects whose only limit is the imagination of their creators. The material is smooth and non-porous, ensures perfect hygiene, as well as quick and easy maintenance and repairs, with flawless results. Zaha Hadid, Jean Nouvel, Rafael Moneo, Karim Rashid and David Chipperfield have created fantastic projects using HI-MACS®, from the kitchen to the bathroom, passing through decorative objects, hotels, museums, shopping malls and exterior facades. The Leaf kitchen fascinates those who love clean lines and organic design. The Dutch company Culimat, which made this latest creation in HI-MACS®, was inspired by nature, as the name Leaf suggests. This kitchen of very contemporary design does not follow geometric lines but shows a rounded organic shape. HI-MACS® has allowed to model the curved, organic and elegant shape of the Leaf kitchen, made without visible joints. The integrated hob is completely flat and equipped with a special touch control surface. The round base of the stainless steel sink flows perfectly with the kitchen work-top. Storage space has been created in the wall units, where other appliances are also installed: the oven, a steamer, a dishwasher, a refrigerator and a wine storage cooler.
