The IMQ Group has initiated the merger of ICILA Srl in CSI SpA, both companies of the Group, which will see its conclusion in March. A decision that goes to continue the path of expansion undertaken in recent months by the Group and launched last June with the acquisition and incorporation of Prototype Technologies specializes in the automotive sector. The merger sees one side ICILA Srl, a Group company specializing in the certification of management systems in the fields of wood, paper, furnishings, chain of custody and in the forest certification, and other CIS SpA, specializing in testing and certification, testing of products and materials.
“The merger of ICILA in CSI“ - said Giorgio Scanavacca chairman of IMQ Group to which belong the two companies - “was commissioned with two objectives in particular: rationalization and strengthening. Rationalization in the management of the company, with the resulting advantages in terms of resource optimization and streamlining of procedures; enhancement in terms of services offered to business customers of the respective companies and the Group IMQ more generally. “
To enjoy the benefits of the merger will be mainly the companies in the sector wood and furniture. This fact, in addition to always use brand ICILA - that will continue to maintain its standing in the market, will benefit from an increase in media and services provider. This will be possible thanks to the integration of the skills developed by ICILA in the certification of quality systems, environmental certification and health and safety of workers and the management certification of chain of custody and forest, with the expertise gained from CSI in testing on materials and on international standards. Businesses will be able to rely on a single partner, able to meet all their needs in terms of certifications of systems and products, verification of compliance of materials, satisfaction of legislative requirements - also for export. But not only. As pointed out by Marina Crippa, General Manager ICILA “merge into CSI will bring substantial benefits such as expanding the range of services and supports offered. But above all, the expansion of the service portfolio to offer to its customers and the market will mean, for us, the ability to follow development projects and broader, corporate customers, support more timely and customized according to their needs. “
ICILA today is a reality of 13 employees and an average of 200 certificates issued annually. With the merger in the CIS, the transfer of the offices in Bollate - within the CIS structure and the consequent expansion of the portfolio of services offered to the market, the goal is the 'increase in sales in the area of ??certification.
Satisfaction with the operation was also expressed by Raoul Cats, CEO of CSI that wanted to emphasize some distinctive principles of the Group companies IMQ. “The transaction will increase the forces consolidating the principles that have always guided the actions of the companies within the Group: knowledge, expertise, specialization and customer focus, the satisfaction of which will be constantly pursued.“
