Sicam reaches this year at its 10^th edition, that will celebrate with a further growth: in fact the adhesions of new international top players, who have been added to the reconfirmation of the great majority of participants last October, complete an already very large and very high level offer of components, accessories and semi-finished products for the global furniture industry. The appointment for the global industry in 2018 will be in Pordenone from Tuesday 16^th to Friday 19^th October, when Sicam will be present professionals of over 8,000 companies from more than a hundred countries. The very positive results achieved in 2017 confirmed Sicam as an international event at the top of the trade shows in the sector and a fundamental moment of the year for the development of new international high-profile relations. Every year Sicam widens the boundaries of the business: this is its priority vocation. Together with the professionals of the more traditional markets that represent the main part of the demand, there are more and more representatives of companies from emerging countries visiting Pordenone: they represent the “new demand“ and the opportunities of perspective for the components and design players . To promote business development at the tenth edition of Sicam will also be the positive moment that the furniture industry in the North East of Italy is experiencing: from the most recent surveys of the Districts Observatory of Intesa San Paolo it appears that in the first nine months of 2017 among the Italian regions the best result came from Friuli Venezia Giulia, where exports were driven by Pordenone Furniture (+ 14.5%) and grew by 81.2 million (+ 6.5%).

Meanwhile, the Sicam team is working around the world to promote the event: in March it is present in five exhibitions of major international importance, in Europe, Asia and South America.

From 4^th to 7^th March it participated in the NEC of Birmingham, the biennial exhibition in Great Britain that is the only trade show specialized in the three “bathroom - kitchen - room“ environments; from 6^th to 9^th of the month, the Exposicam team was in Bogotà, at the “M&M“, the most important platform for the furniture industry in Colombia and a reference point for the entire continent. “Indiawood“ in Bangalore is the event where the Pordenone Exhibition was presented in India, a country of great prospects with a furniture industry that is seen growing 20% ​​a year in the coming years. Two other international appointments for the furniture sector finally took place on March 12th: “Woodshow Dubai“ and “MTKT“ in Kiev in Ukraine. Sicam was presented to professionals in the Middle East and North Africa, and with the presence in Kiev will strengthen the substantial participation of operators from Ukraine.
