SapienStone porcelain stoneware tops, a brand of the Iris Ceramica Group, were used for the new outdoor set-up of the Vòce - Aimo e Nadia - restaurant in the evocative Giardino di Alessandro Manzoni in Milan.

The dehors of the restaurant, at number 10 Via Manzoni, has been furnished with custom-made tables, characterised by refined SapienStone porcelain stoneware tops, in the Calacatta Macchia Vecchia version, capable of perfectly matching the spirit of the place, rich in cultural, historical and artistic suggestions.

Materials and shapes dialogue with art

The tables, circular in shape and of different sizes, plus a large rectangular table with an elongated top and rounded corners, occupy the space at the edge of the lawn, offering guests a relaxing view of the sculptures by Joan Mirò, Giò Pomodoro, Jean Arp and Pietro Cascella. This creates a dialogue with the surrounding nature and with the neoclassical facades of the aristocratic palaces framing the garden, which make up the Gallerie d'Italia complex.

Materials and shapes of the tables and furnishings of the Vòce dehors could not but recall the formal and artistic suggestions of the place: the natural veining and shades of the 4D Ceramics of the SapienStone tops, in the Calacatta Macchia Vecchia version, are a clear reference to the sculptural art of the great masters.

The burnished metal supports, made by artisans from Brianza, match the furnishings and accessories that adorn the garden; the cosy seats, in woven fibre and metal, offer comfort and pleasantness to moments of conviviality.

Not just aesthetics, but high performance

Aesthetic appeal is not the only feature of this décor: the SapienStone tops, used here in the Silky finish, provide a silky, velvety feel, as well as guaranteeing durability, absolute hygiene, and resistance to atmospheric agents and stains. SapienStone porcelain stoneware has in fact been developed to meet the most stringent requirements for a kitchen countertop: resistance to high temperatures, stains, chemicals and scratches, and is also a product suitable for outdoor use as sunlight does not alter any of its characteristics.
