SAIB, a Piacenza-based company leader in the chipboard sector, has been selected among the entrepreneurial excellence by Intesa Sanpaolo. In fact, on September 17 in Milan, the award ceremony of the project “Winning Companies“ was held, organized by Intesa Sanpaolo in collaboration with Bain&Company, Elite and Gambero Rosso, with the aim of celebrating the vitality and enthusiasm of the best Italian PMI.
On this occasion, the award was given to companies that have demonstrated their willingness to grow and consolidate their position on the market, focusing above all on fundamental elements such as sustainability, internationalisation, innovation, and the enhancement of the skills and talents of their human capital.
120 companies were selected from 1800 applications: Saib was awarded both for the economic and financial performance achieved in the last three years and for its constant focus on eco-sustainability.
SAIB: virtuous example of circular economy
SAIB, one of the main Italian companies producing raw and ennobled chipboard panels for the furniture sector, represents a virtuous example of a circular economy, as it recycles and recovers 500,000 tons of waste wood per year from separate collection, transforming them, through a complex production process, into panels for the furniture industry.
Thanks to investments in technology and research to obtain eco-sustainable panels produced with 100% of wood waste at the end of its life and decorative surfaces with a strong tactile and emotional impact, SAIB has become a leading company in the chain of high quality product design, able to combine aesthetics, technology and reuse in the best possible way.
