- Flexible polyurethane foam
ORSA foam has always been active not only in the field of sustainability and environmental protection but also on the level of Circular Economy, an aspect that is proving increasingly important for the near future: an economy based on reusing and recycling existing materials for as long as possible. Indeed, for decades, the company has been committed to reducing waste and adopting sustainable solutions through the use of H and R agglomerates.

Agglomerate H: optimizing resources
Since the early 1980s, agglomerate H has marked the first concrete step toward a more sustainable economy, enabling the company to recover polyurethane foam waste and turn it into a reusable material for various applications. This pioneering approach has enabled ORSA foam to decrease its environmental impact and optimize resources.

Agglomerate R: new life for polyurethane
A further step forward in sustainability occurs in 2021 when the Gorla Minore-based company introduces agglomerate R, which comes from a supply chain that recovers discarded mattresses, extracts the polyurethane and sanitizes it. In this way ORSA foam is able to use this second raw material and transform it into a new product, ready to be reused. This process allows polyurethane to be given new life, closing the production cycle and contributing to waste reduction.

Goal: a more sustainable future
For years ORSA foam has been dedicated to making its production increasingly circular, firmly believing that every resource can be recovered and reintroduced into the production cycle for a more sustainable future. For this reason, ORSA foam's future goal is to expand the use of agglomerate R to the comfort sector as well, where it can offer sustainable solutions for high-quality padding and products.
