The installations of Materials Village 2019
At the entrance to the Village you will find the installation “A Pinnacle of Reflections“ created by 3M Design in collaboration with the Matteo Thun & Partners studio, which wants to celebrate nature as a source of inspiration for effective and above all sustainable solutions.
Another installation, located in the Art Garden, is the result of the collaboration between Material ConneXion Italia and Marie Claire Maison and is signed by Ar-o-studio. It is “Materica. The Beautiful Side of Design“, a two-storey architecture that celebrates beauty as the true expression of design, focusing on the aesthetics of materials, shapes, textures and nuances.
The third installation is presented by Puma with Innovation by Design and Fraunhofer Institute for Interfacial Engineering and Biotechnology, where an experimental shoe that is part of the BioEvolution project will be presented. Scientists and designers have developed biologically active materials to obtain a sports footwear that lives in symbiosis with the wearer.
As always, the Material ConneXion Italia hub will be a point of reference for professionals who want to find out more about the latest developments in the world of design, architecture and technology.
