interzum forum italy is the new exhibition event organised by Koelnmesse that will take place on 6 and 7 June 2024 at the Fair di Bergamo and will be held every two years.
Bergamo has been chosen as the ideal location because of its central position with respect to the main furniture and design industry districts, easily reachable from all over Italy and abroad, thanks to a dense network of connections and in particular its proximity to Orio al Serio international airport.
The idea of organising a new trade fair for the subcontracting sector came about following the participation of more than 290 Italian companies in the 2023 edition of interzum, a strong signal of the Italian market's interest in the Cologne event, which has always anticipated trends in the subcontracting and interior design sector.
An innovative exhibition format
An innovative exhibition format dedicated to the Italian and European market, interzum forum italy is a concentrated and effective two-day event designed to allow companies and visitors to benefit from a platform that combines updating opportunities and marketplace, with a minimum organisational and economic commitment for exhibitors. Thomas Rosolia, managing director of Koelnmesse Italia, says: "We are very positive, ever since the launch of interzum forum italy we have noticed the strong interest of companies in this new format; to date we expect to occupy both pavilions of the fair: a net area of 6000sqm with about 300 exhibitors and an attendance of 6,000 visitors from all over Europe".
An important educational and informative opportunity
Another strong point of interzum forum italy will be the rich conference programme aimed at attracting operators in the furnishing and design sector, manufacturers of furnishing materials and technologies, general contractors, companies and design studios, planners and interior designers.
In addition to the institutional talks, there will be a Trend Stage and a Product Stage, with short B2B meetings that will allow in-depth discussion of the topics of greatest interest and, for companies, presentation of new products. Trends, new technical and technological solutions, new materials, digitisation for production and services will characterise the exhibition spaces, which will also extend into further event areas.
"We are working to offer industry professionals a high-level congress that can be an educational and informative opportunity. In this regard, we are pleased to announce the collaboration with a number of research and market research bodies, strategic consultancies and universities to support the scientific development of the event's contents," continues Thomas Rosolia. "Among the first confirmed: the CSIL Study Centre, the Digital Innovation Observatories of the School of Management of the Milan Polytechnic, the Department of Materials Science of the University of Milan-Bicocca, the consortium POLI.Design, ADI Industrial Design Association and the Italian-German Chamber of Commerce AHK Italien.
