The Fuorisalone 2022 returns from 6 to 12 June, coinciding with the Salone del mobile.Milano, the most important international appointment with design. The theme of this edition will be "Between Space and Time", a theme that will investigate the dimensions of Space and Time, offering an opportunity for reflection and a stimulus for all the companies that will take part in the event.
Space and Time are two words deeply affected by the changes that characterize today's world, changes necessary to generate innovation in processes and contents.
Both words indicate the variables useful for evaluating our impact on the planet and for planning concrete actions to bring about change.
In this scenario, design is also asked to support the transition to sustainability, necessary to cope with the environmental crisis as pointed out during the COP26 in Glasgow. The role of the designer today is to help understand the complexity of reality, in all its nuances, designing tools at the service of communities, imagining the relationship between physical and virtual spaces, preserving natural resources, thinking about the future of our cities, of our homes, an increasingly human-scale future.
Brera Design Week is also back, on the occasion of Fuorisalone 2022, with an edition that collects the challenges of contemporaneity.
The theme proposed by Fuorisalone will be declined in "Designing the present, choosing the future", that is, starting from the present to create an idea of the future that is on a human scale, but also of nature. Finding solutions today to face the challenges of tomorrow: this is also the task of design. This is why we will talk about well-being and improvements for the quality of life, product innovation, research and development of new materials. Not only that, a look will also be turned to digital, between online and retail experience, and to NFT (acronym for non-fungible token), that is, those certificates that attest to the authenticity, uniqueness and ownership of a digital object, more and more also relevant in the world of design.
