Poliform, one of the most important realities of Made in Italy in the international furniture world, and Dekton®, the innovative ultra-compact surface of the Cosentino Group, have collaborated to create a new concept of personalized kitchen. The Poliform Alea Plus kitchen was presented as a world preview at the last edition of KBIS 2019 in Las Vegas, the event that for over 50 years has been offering product innovations, technologies and trends in the kitchen and bathroom sector.
Created in collaboration with the architect and designer Daniel Germani of the Daniel Germani Designs studio, the new kitchen project sees the doors and columns covered with Dekton® panels with an exceptional thickness of 4mm made exclusively for the occasion. This is the first example of application of Dekton® Slim, a highly technological material resulting from the constant commitment of the Cosentino Group's Research & Development Department.
The project highlights the great versatility of the Dekton® ultra-compact surface and Poliform's mastery in creating customized solutions.
Dekton® Sirius and Dekton® Chromica Cobalt to characterize the whole kitchen
For the kitchen cladding, the architect chose Dekton® Sirius, characterized by dark tones and a particular texture that matches perfectly with Canaletto walnut, while the worktops were covered with Dekton surfaces 2 cm thick which guarantee durability, resistance to temperature changes, UV rays, scratches and stains.
The island, over 9 meters long, has a structure formed by two main volumes joined by a single slab of Dekton Chromica Cobalt, a new color prototype that will soon be presented on the market. On the one hand, an integrated hob has been added that underlines the high resistance of the material to heat, on the other a service sink has been placed.
After the preview at KBIS, Dekton® Slim will be officially presented at the Milan Design Week from 9 to 14 April in the Cosentino City showroom in Piazza Fontana and in an installation located in Ventura Centrale.
