Franke achieves a notable success this year at the Red Dot Design Award 2022, one of the most important international design competitions that highlights the most innovative concepts. Five were in fact the awards that the expert jury awarded to Franke Home Solutions: the Active Twist Black Matt mixer tap and the coordinated Kubus 2 sink were awarded the "Red Dot: Best of the Best", in the Product Design category, the most prestigious award of the competition, reserved for products that stand out for their exceptional design and are able to set new standards in the sector.

 

Innovative and cutting-edge products

Franke Home Solutions has received awards for all of its competing products.The Red Dot in the Product Design category went to the All-In food preparation flexible system, already awarded by the Kitchen Innovation Award 2022, and to the Maris Black Matt gas hob. In addition, the Maris bowls in Fragranite and the Smart Suspended hoods in all colors were awarded.

These prestigious awards demonstrate Franke’s continued commitment to innovate and enhance the value of its offering: the brand is in fact the leading manufacturer of an integrated system able to offer a complete range of solutions for the kitchen, from sinks and mixers to top class appliances.

Active Twist Black Matt mixer

The Active Twist Black Matt mixer offers an innovative way to fill and empty the sink: it is equipped with a revolutionary device which, integrated with the mixer itself, connects it with the sink. Once activated, the device operates the exhaust outlet. In this way the water flows easily, safely and hygienically.

In addition to technological innovation, Franke provides a functional and elegant design: Active Twist creates a cleaner look on the worktop, with a fluid and curved aesthetic with rounded edges, which make it a very easy to clean mixer and can be combined with a wide range of Franke sinks.

The mixer is also equipped with an ECO cartridge designed to limit both flow and temperature, actively helping to save water and energy. The gradual movement of the double-click lever of Active Twist allows the mixer to dispense the right amount of water with sufficient pressure, ensuring savings in use of up to 50%. In addition, thanks to the temperature limiter inside the ECO cartridge, the degree of hot water used can be adjusted.

 

Kubus 2 sink: perfectly integrated and highly functional

The Kubus 2 sink, available in many carefully selected Fragranite finishes, including Black Matt, is perfectly integrated and highly functional.

The large sink bowl offers more space to easily clean and manage even large objects; in addition, the integrated protrusion for accessories allows the use of specially designed sink complements to simplify work in the kitchen.
 

Black Matt, a refined, modern and timeless finish

All the products awarded with the Red Dot, the Active Twist mixer, the Kubus 2 sink, the Maris bowl in Fragranite, the Maris gas hob and the Smart Suspended hood are available in the special and elegant Black Matt finish, so that every kitchen element can be part of a coordinated design offer. Black Matt completes the Franke color range with a deep black finish and a smooth, harmonious surface.
