Technological innovation has always been one of the main assets of SCM Group, world leader in technologies for processing a wide range of materials, such as wood, plastic, glass, stone, metal, composite materials and industrial components.
In order to increase its Research and Development activity, for which it invests 7% of its turnover every year, SCM Group announces the disbursement by the European Investment Bank (EIB) of an unsecured credit line of 50 million euros with a duration of seven years. This line of credit covers 50% of the Group's planned R&D investments for the four-year period 2017-2020, for a total amount of over EUR 100 million. The aim of these investments is to develop products and services based on cutting-edge technological solutions that are efficient, flexible and easy for the end user to use, capable of guaranteeing production processes in line with the new demands of smart manufacturing and Industry 4.0.
“This financing - declared Marco Mancini, General Manager of SCM Group - further strengthens and diversifies the financial structure of SCM Group, guaranteeing part of the resources necessary to invest in those research and development activities that are essential to support our customers in the development of their business and to continue the growth path of the Group in an increasingly competitive global market“.
The 2018 Turnover of SCM Group
