SCM Group, world leader in technologies for the processing of numerous materials and industrial components, has created two important initiatives: the inauguration of the “Campus“ project, the new training center of the group and the “Smart&HumanFactory“ Open House , dedicated to the digital and intelligent factory, integrated with industrial and collaborative robots.
Campus was inaugurated Monday, January 28th, in the new headquarters of Villa Verucchio (Rimini), in the presence of the main institutional authorities and representatives of the world of education, professional and university. Campus wants to be the concrete answer to the continuous technological and training challenges that today affect the manufacturing industry by developing the most advanced competence to transmit it to the professionals of today and tomorrow all over the world. Campus was founded with the aim of coordinating and promoting all activities aimed at developing the professional, technical, managerial and managerial skills of the 4,000 people who today work for the group in the three major production centers in Italy and in over twenty branches abroad.
Another important goal of Campus is to help develop skills that foster technological innovation in the various sectors in which the group's companies operate: from the furniture industry to building, from automotive to aerospace, from boating to processing plastic materials.
This center also wants to act as an interlocutor of reference for secondary schools, universities, various vocational training institutions and business schools with which Scm Group collaborates in Italy and abroad for projects of alternating school-work, internships and initiatives joint training by providing the high technology of its machinery and the know-how of its professionals.

Thousands of presences for the “smart“ factory of Scm

More than 2,500 visitors from all over the world crowded the SCM Technology Center from 31st January to 2nd February at the Rimini headquarters for the “Smart&HumanFactory“ Open House. The event showed the intelligent factory of the future for the wood industry, integrated by industrial and collaborative robots, a state-of-the-art factory, where the latest generation of SCM technologies are integrated by anthropomorphic industrial robots, employed in the heaviest activities; collaborative robots, working alongside operators in total safety and without barriers.
Inside the SCM Technology Center, set up for the occasion with over fifty solutions on display and in process, the public was able to enter the “Smart & Human Factory“ that in three days worked almost a thousand panels to produce in time record four different types of furniture.
