The first eco-sustainable solid surface 100% made in ItalyNicos International has created Cristalplant biobased, an innovative material made of 50% from minerals and the remaining 50% polyester bioresin. Can be defined as the first solid surface eco-friendly, because it arises from resinous raw materials of vegetable origin mixed with mineral natural aggregates of extreme purity. The characteristics that make it a full-fledged eco-friendly product are manifold. First, 30% of the resin used, which previously was of fossil origin, was replaced by polyesters of vegetable nature arising from certified cultivations. This has allowed Cristalplant biobased even get certified GMO-free: more than 12% of the substances which constituted derived from vegetable starch and corn that do not contain genetically modified organisms (the lower limit equal to 5%). 50% of the composition obtained dallidrato of aluminum recovered from the processing of bauxite for the extraction dellalluminio same.
