Cosentino Group, leading world producer and distributor of innovative surfaces for architecture and design, it celebrates the 10ª edition of the Cosentino Design Challenge, international contest addressed to students. Cosentino Design Challenge is an international contest with 21 institutions which collaborate: schools and universities distributed in four continents: Europe, Asia, Oceania and America. The contest involves two categories, architecture and design, and the principal aim is to promote the talent of pupils who study in any educational establishment or high school of design, architecture or interior architecture of the academic year 2015 -2016. The students who participate are called to deepen different conceptual approaches regarding the configuration of spaces, materials and the constructive systems according to guidelines specified for every category and by means of use of the products range Cosentino®. In this edition for the Architecture category students have to reflect on the theme “Cosentino and sport.“ The zone or the surface of intervention can freely be chosen by students. In the Design category it is proposed to work, instead, on the theme “Commercial Elements“, playing with the surfaces. Students must not forget to include in the final project the application of one or more Cosentino products. The term for the presentation of the proposals expires on June 7th 2016. All the projects must entirely have introduced in electronic form through the page web of the contest: https://www.cosentinodesignchallenge.org/ For both categories they are planned three prizes of the value of 1.000 Euro each, for a total amount of 6.000 Euro. The decision of the jury, composed by personality of prestige of the architecture and the design world, it will be made known in the month of June 2016. The Cosentino Group introduced the contest near the Colegio Oficial de Decoradores y Diseñadores de Interior of Madrid. Santiago Alfonso, Communication and Marketing Director of the Cosentino Group, Adelina Salinas, architect and coordinator of the contest and Ricardo Santonja (I+D+art), teacher near the university of Saragozza (UNIZAR) involved in the project, they had the charge to present the project to students, teachers and journalists. During the presentation the prizes have been delivered to the winning pupils of the last edition.
