SGS, leading company for services of inspection, verification, analysis and certification and IPPR - Institute for the Promotion of Recycling Plastics, they organize Friday 10th June from 10 to 13 o'clock by the StarHotels Ritz in Milan, via Spallanzani 40, the conference “ Certification of 'Plastica Seconda Vita': opportunity and potentiality in light of the environmental connection“. During the meeting a variety of different topics will be discussed, from the thorough examination of the brand PSV, to an overview on the process of certification and to the exposure of some history homes. Interesting novelties will be analyzed, they will be introduced by the Procurement Code and by the Environmental Connection to the Law of Stability (Law n. 221 of 28th December 2015). Paolo Fabbri, Manager of Punto 3 Srl and expert of Green Public Procurement, he will discuss the issue of the drive for the environmental sustainability in the normative sector: the novelties of the decree Green Economy, in the Procurement Code and in the package “Circular Economy.“ He will analyze the principal changes of GPP in light of the entry into force of the new Procurement Code (Legislative Decree 18th April 2016, n. 50) and of the new package of measures of the European Committee to favor the circular economy. Maria Cristina Poggesi, Secretary of IPPR, she will talk about the long history of success of the brand Plastica Seconda Vita which today is synonymous of recycled plastic. She will illustrate then the principles at the base of the certification, the guarantees of the technical norms at the base of the brand and the real utility of a brand from the recognized reputation for the different actors of the market and the application examples in the different market sectors. The intervention of Viviana Salieri (SGS) has like aim to describe the general and specific requisites that the Organizations must respect and the process of certification that the same must follow for getting the certification of conformity to the Disciplinare Plastica Seconda Vita for one or more groups of products. They will follow two history homes: Vincent Moramarco, Managing Director of Ecoplen srl and Gabriele Picchi, Health Safety, Energy and Environment Specialist of Barilla. Vincent Moramarco will talk about the sustainability in reference to Ecoplen between tradition and innovation. The company, using exclusively polyethylene coming from the recycle of post-consumption material, it is able to get tanks, homologated ADR, with not less than 70% recycled plastic with exceptional mechanical properties thanks to the particular multilayer structure. Gabriele Picchi will explain how from 1997 Barilla has been developed a “Guideline for the planning of the sustainable package“, reached today the third edition. This then complemented in 2007 the Barilla LCA Packaging Designer which allows to compare among them different solutions in order to choose the solution with the smallest environmental impact. Obviously safeguarding the ability of the package to protect and to preserve the goodness of the products. Through this instrument and all the other projects of improvement, the percentage of the packages Barilla, classified as technically recyclable, it reached 98% in 2014 (from 85% in the 2008). To conclude the works Davide Pollon, Head Service Innovative Models of Recycle of Corepla, the National Consortium for the Harvest, the Recycling and the Recovery of the Packages in Plastics. Corepla assures the service of withdrawal of the plastics packages to Italian Municipalities, compensating them to high costs to that they are in store for them effecting the diversified harvest. Subsequently the Consortium manages the selection of this packages with particular attention to the demands of the recycling companies, that turns the packages of refusal into raw second materials. The great exploitation of the packages in plastics, both in terms of recyclability and of added value, it brings today the Consortium to select and to start recycling over 14 different typologies of packages and to experiment always several more. An orientation to the market which is like none other in Europe. The meeting of next 10th June is free. The registration is necessary until exhaustion places.
