The 2015 edition of the Salone del Mobile in Milan, taking place from 14th to 19th April, will host Workplace3.0, an exhibition proposal that is the natural evolution of SaloneUfficio with an innovative concept and a special project designed by Michele De Lucchi, who develops the path opened in 2013 by Jean Nouvel with the “Project: office for living” exhibition/event. Workplace3.0 is an event that brings together in one place the various components of the office, from furnishing to finishing elements, from services to technologies (light, sound and air conditioning) and everything necessary for professionals to develop “turnkey” solutions (from large supplies of new buildings to small and medium size office furniture). An exhibition area of proposals and design ideas for living the workspace in many different modern ways. “Technology has changed everything - Michele De Lucchi says – making people free to organize themselves as they wish, and allows to work anywhere, at home, on a train or even outdoors in a park”. The new exhibition concept reinterprets an idea of work that changes and continues to change: new jobs and new ways of working create new workspaces and new design requirements for “living” them, with an office that is becoming increasingly the place of relations, meetings and of living together. “The Salone del Mobile becomes the expression of these new trends - Marco Predari, Chairman of Assufficio, explains – and, gathering the requests of companies and operators, presents a new exhibition project dedicated to design and technology for the design of the workspace”. Companies, even in synergy, will interpret the changes underway, developing proposals and offering complete design solutions within the space reserved for them. “Thinking about the workspace as an equipped gym to train your mind means to make it a space where relations generate new ideas and possibilities - architect Michele De Lucchi highlights. The office of the future must be conceived imagining a free from conventions lifestyle, an increasingly different environnment that creates continuously novelties”. Right architect De Lucchi will be the author of the exhibition/event hosted at the center of the Workplace3.0 pavilions, conceived with the aim of transferring project suggestions and thoughts dedicated to the workspace.
