Vanità & Casa, a company specialising in the production of mirrors and illuminated container mirrors, presented a preview at Sicam 2023 of some of the most important innovations that will become part of the catalogue in the coming months.
Mirrors and container mirrors, essential and functional, are recognised not only for their aesthetics, but also for being at the cutting edge of technology.
Maximum safety and advanced technology
Entirely designed in Italy, Vanità & Casa's mirrors and illuminated container mirrors not only guarantee maximum safety with their 5 mm thick mirror, their gluing to the frame for maximum tightness, their IP44 protection, and their safety back-film that prevents the mirror from crumbling in the event of breakage, but they also stand out for their advanced technologies. Such as the MLS (Modular Light System) that allows you to choose which and how many lighting sectors to use, with consequent energy savings, or the Ghost technology, patented by Vanità & Casa, thanks to which the person is illuminated by independent, low-consumption LEDs that, once turned off, are not visible on the mirror's reflective surface.
Foggy: the mirror with a foggy effect
Ghost technology is also present in the Foggy mirror, the latest innovation from Vanità & Casa, designed by the Adolini studio and conceived for the home environment. Inspired by nature, it is characterised by a very special "foggy" effect that generates a soft, delicate and natural light, which does not dazzle and is distributed only where it is needed.
The 'foggy' effect (currently registered as 'patent pending') causes the light to appear and disappear as a luminous fog starting from the frame and fading gently towards the centre of the reflected image, so as to illuminate and not dazzle the user.
Foggy is available in three Kelvin temperatures: 3000K - 4000K - 6000K.
Boomerang: inspired by nature
Vanità & Casa's innovation also emerges in the use of cutting-edge materials and design. Architect and designer Massimo Farinatti, the company's art director, designed Boomerang, the new mirror that sees the use of wood inlay technology and the creation of organic shapes inspired by the elements of nature. Obtained by laser cutting, the different wood essences were then carefully composed by hand to determine the mirror's chromatic impact. The final effect is once again provided by the light which, thanks to Ghost technology, when it appears, can not only be gradually adjusted to the intensity and colour requirements, but also completes the design, making Boomerang almost a work of art.
XO and Oceano Round mirrors receive two prestigious awards
Among the products exhibited at Sicam, we could not miss XO, the mirror selected for the ADI Design Index 2022 and Oceano Round, winner of the IF Design Award 2023 thanks to its essentiality and simple functionality, both designed by architect Massimo Farinatti.
Also perfect for bathrooms or damp environments, thanks to its anti-fog function, the Oceano Round mirror can furnish any space. Designed with Ghost technology and the exclusive Modular Light System, it is also equipped with an illuminated on/off touch switch with colour change and dimmer function, and a practical matt black metal shelf for daily care items.
