Threespine® interlocking technology: how it works

The main feature of Threeespine® is constituted by the “locking tongue“ that connects interlocking boards or panels to each other. Unlike traditional fixing methods,this resistant tongue, thanks also to a long connection surface, allows an extremely stable connection which makes the furniture very robust.When the panel is placed in position, the tab moves backwards into a groove. As the panel reaches its final position, the tongue assumes the initial position again by inserting itself into a cuneiform groove located on the opposite panel and thus perfectly connecting the panels.Threespine is easy to disassemble: just use the dismounting pin, push the tongue into the groove and then release the panels.

Threespine® interlocking technology: new possibilities for design

The Threespine assembly technology also offers new possibilities for design: first of all it can be used with any workable material and it is also possible to easily combine different materials. It also allows you to design thinner furniture without visible holes for fittings.This technology is optimized for high volume production using traditional edgebanding machines or continuous feed machines, but CNC machines for small scale production can also be used.
