From 20 to 22 November, the Shanghai Exhibition Center, the fourth edition of the Salone del Mobile.Milano Shanghai, will be held at the SEC. After the success achieved in previous editions, this year 125 Italian exhibitors will be present in Shanghai on a net 7,979.50 square meters of exhibition space. These companies will show the best of our Made in Italy, a journey into the beauty, originality and refinement of the Italian product and design.
FLA China and the Chinese partner VNU Exhibition Asia, organizers of the exhibition, will carefully select the quality of visitors. In 2018, visitors came from the top regions of China, Shanghai, Beijing and Guangdong, and from those in strong growth, such as Sichuan, Fujian, Shandong, Henan, Shaanxi and Hubei, offering interesting business opportunities to exhibitors and especially the opportunity to expand visibility and success in the Chinese market.
Claudio Luti, President of Salone del Mobile, during the press conference that took place in July in Shanghai, stressed that Salone del Mobile wants to continue that strategy of internationalization focused on the quality of the exhibition proposal and relations. “We have worked on the involvement of brands capable of best representing the content of innovation and research underlying our production - continued Luti - and, above all, on the identification of high-profile interlocutors, visitors and buyers, able to understand the intrinsic values of a vision that goes beyond the product and suggests a lifestyle. The SEC spaces, the historical, beautiful and representative headquarters, know how to make the most of our projects“.
Design and xLux: the two categories of the event
The event dedicated to design and luxury furniture by Salone del Mobile.Milano will present to the Chinese visitor the proposals of furniture divided into two categories: Design, where products expressing functionality, innovation and great aesthetic sense will be exhibited; xLux, which will see the proposal of products in balance between classic elegance and contemporary design.
As a corollary to this important event, there will also be various cultural meetings thanks to the Master Classes, which once again this year will see the participation of important Italian architects and designers who will discuss with the public the most current issues relating to the development of the furniture sector in China and around the world.
Another interesting place for discussion will be the Shanghai SaloneSatellite with young people under 35. In this space young designers and students from Chinese universities and design schools will present their projects and the three best ones, selected by a jury of professionals in the sector, will be awarded at the SaloneSatellite Shanghai Award and invited to participate in the 2020 edition of the SaloneSatellite in Milan.
