The world of the furniture industry has finally found itself at the fair in attendance: Sicam 2021, which took place in Pordenone from 12 to 15 October, ended with a success beyond the best expectations. More than 540 exhibitors from Italy and 28 other foreign countries presented their novelties in terms of design, technologies, materials and solutions at the fair. These companies, despite the difficulties of these times, have never stopped in their search for product and process innovation, and in Pordenone they were finally able to present their innovations to an audience of professionals.

 

The sector proves to be vital and proactive

From the very first day, it was clear from the stands that there was a desire and pleasure in being present at the fair: to see each other and look each other in the eyes, exchange ideas and evaluate projects, see and touch the numerous innovations present. This is why we can say that Sicam marked a true confirmation of the strength of the components and accessories sector for the furniture industry, a sector that has never stopped and, indeed, has intensified its ability to design and produce. "Many companies have believed in us, and have invested with us. - commented Carlo Giobbi, founder and organizer of Sicam - They have always had a clear pulse on the market and were eager to return to fair attendance, knowing that in this way new business can be developed concretely". In fact, furniture industry professionals from over 90 countries, representing more than 7200 companies, visited. 66% of visitors came from Italy and 34% from abroad: results that were difficult to predict in the weeks leading up to the fair, due to all the health restrictions linked to the pandemic and an international flight schedule that is still far from 2019 levels.

 

Sicam an important appointment for the furniture industry

Once again this year, Sicam proposed on over 36,000 square meters, in ten pavilions, the best that the international industry of components and materials has studied and put into production for the new furniture collections that will debut on world markets in 2022 at the great international furniture fairs. A unique and unmistakable range of offers and ideas that confirms Sicam as an unmissable appointment for planners, designers and interior architects, and for the international furniture industry in general. Among the new names present at the fair, it is worth mentioning the return of important realities from the world of surfaces, as well as the growing presence of companies from the sectors of ceramics, taps and fittings, and stone materials. "Never as this year have we been able to say that those who have been to Pordenone and have chosen to participate in attendance at Sicam have worked with satisfaction - Carlo Giobbi again pointed out -. The confirmations of participation for 2022 that we have already registered at the fair are the clearest proof of this: it is the same companies in the sector that make us understand with their choices whether the event works or not".

 

Efficient organization for a safe fair

The fair was held in full compliance with the health regulations provided for by the Covid Protocol to protect the health and safety of all participants in the most appropriate way. The Exposicam organization team must be credited with having taken great care of all the details to ensure the safest conditions at the fair: from the operation of cafeterias in the various pavilions with expanded spaces, to the arrangement of tables in restaurants and buffets, everything has ensured the necessary tranquility and safety. All sanitization activities, prevention and containment measures and health services have also been very well taken care of and precise.
The appointment with Sicam is now set for October 2022 in Pordenone, from Tuesday 18 to Friday 21.
