- Kitchen sinks
Bora once again revolutionizes the kitchen, understood as a living space, with the innovative self-cleaning Sink: with the push of a button, water flows off the four sides of the basin simultaneously, cleaning both them and the base in seconds.
A novel and intelligent function for the kitchen
This sink introduces a novel and clever function for the kitchen. An idea that might have seemed difficult to implement, but in the end turned out to be extremely simple: when water emerges from the edge of the sink, it flows evenly on all four sides of the basin and collects as it flows.
The designers studied a type of flow that can evenly distribute water over the surface of the sink. This, made of Cristadur, a durable patented quartz composite, supports the laminar flow of water in self-cleaning activity, while also providing a beautiful pearly effect.
Innovative features
The self-cleaning function is activated by pressing the button on the faucet head specially developed for the Bora Sink. The button has been positioned to avoid hand contact with hot water. There is also an LED sensor that changes from blue to red to indicate the water temperature.
Different operating modes: in pulse mode, the cleaning function is activated for the duration of the button press; in continuous mode, pressing the touch sensor or button on the faucet for 5 seconds automatically activates the rinse function for another 15 seconds.
Minimalist design
Like all Bora products, the Bora sink is distinguished by its minimalist design. Offered in a sleek black finish, it withstands water temperatures up to 180 degrees. It is designed to match the Bora faucet with a matte black powder-coated finish, but you can also choose faucets from other brands. In this case, the self-cleaning function is controlled by a touch sensor that can be freely placed under the countertop. The overflow has been placed on the opposite side than usual to leave the jet black finish visible.
The Bora Sink is manufactured by the Bavarian company Schock, while the faucet was designed in-house by Bora, which commissioned a prestigious manufacturer to produce it.
From a technical point of view, the Bora Sink does not require any additional installation depth, allowing standard drainage systems to be easily installed under it. The interior dimensions of the sink are: width 486 cm x depth 372 cm x height 216 cm
The Bora Sink will be available from spring 2025.
