There are changes on the Board of Directors of Schattdecor SE. By mutual agreement with the Supervisory Board and the Schatt family, Roland Auer announces his retirement from the position of Chairman of the Board of Directors. It was a free decision, made for personal reasons. 

Roland Auer: more than 30 years at Schattdecor

After more than 30 years at Schattdecor, the surfaces specialist, Roland Auer's decision was not an easy one, although it was made with the support of the Schatt family and the Supervisory Board. Over these three decades, Roland Auer has contributed significantly to the company's development and internationalization.

The Supervisory Board and the Schatt family thanked him for his tireless efforts and assured him of their full support. Special mention goes to his commitment to Schattdecor Poland and his work as chairman of the Board of Directors since 2017.

Ensuring business continuity

To ensure a smooth transition and guarantee business continuity, the company has taken extensive measures internally. Dr. Derick Beitel, Group Executive Financial Director, will become spokesperson for the Board of Directors. Claudia Küchen, Board member for the area of Design, Marketing, Communication and Decorative Development, will also take charge of the HR area.

The Supervisory Board also appoints Robert Vuga as the new Executive Commercial Director; Vuga, who has been with the Group for 24 years, has also previously served as Managing Director in Russia and Turkey.

Reiner Schulz, Chairman of the Supervisory Board of Schattdecor SE, and Anja Schatt-Steiner, representing the Schatt family, commented on the changes as follows, "We have ensured that our current Board of Directors and the entire existing management structure, as well as our full team, experience a seamless transition and that our customers, suppliers and partners can count on continuous and reliable cooperation."
